OSX 20gb mysql.crash.log file, crashes system when delete is attempted

Hello everyone. I am running mysql on OSX with Apache and I have a huge file here called "mysql.crash.log" that crashes my os when I attempt to delete (trash) it, even when mysql is not running. How can I manage the size of this file, or get rid of it all together? I'm on a laptop and storage is minimal.

Thanks in advance for any help I can get here.
