Hi John

Did you ever find a relatively simple, inexpensive solution for this? I'm pretty sure it will involve either using an SQL "SELECT...INTO OUTFILE" statement or the mysqldump client program, both of which create tab-delimited data files (flat files) that you would then load with an SQL Server ETL (extract, transform, load) component - either DTS (data transformation services) or SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

There are also quite a few commercial apps out there that are avaiable to to deal with this that come up on a web search.
