I am having the same issue too and I exhausted all other options that I found by searching this error message which didn't help. I'm running Win7 and got the same exact error message and made sure that the firewall allowed the port and SQL to run.Ran the wizard under Admin and uninstalled (including removing directory and contents numerous times)
I'm just a student that needs this for a project since I don't have lab access at my college at this time.
Any help is appreciated.
