Hi Steve,
MySQL Workbench (WB) is very powerful and VERY COMPLEX tool.
You have to master it a little bit before going into data migration.
Here is what you have to do:
1. I assume that you run your MySQL Workbench (WB) on Windows and you are
using the same host for your WB as for your SQL Server instance.
2. I assume that your WB runs well and you don't have any problems running it.
One of the ways to check it is to try to start and stop MySQL server from
your WB
3. Start WB.
4. From WB go to "Database" menu on the top of your WB window and
select "Migration Wizard..." item
https://dev.mysql.com/doc/workbench/en/wb-migration-overview-steps.html
5. You will see "Welcome to the MySQL Workbench Migration Wizard" window.
6. On the left side you will see your migration options:
Source Selection, Target Selection, etc.
Most important is to get correct connection to your SQL server.
Good luck,
Jacob Nikom
