XMLTYPE in mysql

BONJOUR,
j'ai la version suivante de mysql
mysql-essential-5.1.48-win32.msi
mysql-gui-tools-5.0-r17-win32.msi

cependant, le type XMLTYPE n'est pas exploitable ici!!!

Je n'arrive pas à créer une colonne de ce type dans une BD Myql.
merci pour vos propositions.
