Re: Migration from Universe Database by IBM to MySql
I want to know how MySql handles the migration of data from and to an i5/OS environment; i5 V5R4 300CPW and 2 GIG memory transferring data to and from and SQL 2003 Server. The problem I have is the file formats from and to ACSII and EBCDIC and the speed of the transfers when multiple logicals files are attached. The migration starts out fast but quickly slows down as more data is transferred. If I use the CPYTOIMPF command it becomes very slow on large file's with lots of logical files attached. The CPYF command is also very slow. How does MySQL help? Keep in mind I only have 2 gig memory and the Physical files are about 5 gig
I am migrating.
