Actually checking upon this, you're indeed right. Only the native Jet databases can support the "subdatasheet" feature (which makes sense since the subdatasheet data is actually stored in Jet-specific "properties").

The reason why it seemed to work in my test is because I checked a table which used a linked table as a subdatasheet (as oposed to a linked table using abother linked table), and those do work just fine once the relationship are restored.
