Access to MySQL

Hi... [Also posted in the Newbie section, please delete if against the forum rules]

I´ve been running several applications on the web using ASP for the coding and Access for the databases for years now. The other day someone told me (that "someone" being a member of my ISP's support crew) that I could easily switch to MySQL simply by converting any of my Access databases to the MySQL format (using the migration tool) and the changing the connection strings in the code. The new MySQL database would then run prefectly with the rest of the code he told me.

Is that true? Could it be that simple? From what I´ve heard before, if I'd switch to MySQL, I'd encounter date/time problems, difficulties with updating the recordset etc.

I've downloaded the MySQL 5.0 to my machine and installation went fine. The migration tool works just fine as well. As do the rest of the software.

But is it enough to just change the connection string in my ASP code and kaboom I'd be running my system towards MySQL instead? I just can´t believe it´s that simple...

PS! What does a MySQL database look like???
