my.cnf variables for memory tables
I am looking into loading our entire (read/only) database (6GB) into memory based tables. We have a 64-bit, 8 CPU, 16GB RAM Server. I can find loads of info into tuning MyISAM & InnoDB tables but very little on optimising MySQL for memory based tables. What my.cnf settings will affect memory tables OTHER than max_heap_table_size? Can I configure all cache's to zero if I'm not using MyISAM or InnoDB tables? Thanks, Bill
