Dropping Column then recreating

I deleted the jobnumber column and recreated it. Why does it have 0 0 0 in it when I never inserted anything? See below.

mysql> alter table orderform drop jobnumber;
Query OK, 0 rows affected (0.07 sec)
Records: 0 Duplicates: 0 Warnings: 0

mysql> select jobnumber from orderform;
ERROR 1054 (42S22): Unknown column 'jobnumber' in 'field list'

mysql> alter table orderform add jobnumber int(8) not null first;
Query OK, 0 rows affected, 1 warning (0.12 sec)
Records: 0 Duplicates: 0 Warnings: 1

mysql> select jobnumber from orderform;
+-----------+
jobnumber
+-----------+
0
0
0
+-----------+
3 rows in set (0.00 sec)

Thanks
