That would suggest you're using one Table per Invoice.

That's OK as long as you never need to analyse across [all the] Invoice tables, in which case you're probably going to find that MySQL can't cope.
IIRC, it [still] has a finite limit of just 61 tables per query, including any "embedded" in any Views you use. One to watch out for ...
