Codebase structure and ANALYZE TABLE command in the engine

Hi everyone,

I am new to mysql code base and trying to do some research on how the analyze table command, along with how stats update is implemented in the engine. I wasn't able to grep anything useful from the code base or find any documentation online about it. I was wondering if anyone can explain how the codebase is structured for the engine or point to any specific documentation that I can look at to find the information. If anyone can point me to the file on how analyze table is implemented in the code base that would also be great.
