Call me pernickety, but let's be absolutely, crystal clear about this.

You should not be thinking about "recovering" your database from the .frm and .idb files.
Those files are the database!

Recovering a database should start from the Backups that you have been taking for this, exact purpose.

Trying to do anything with "left over" files is like crashing your car, at full speed, into a brick wall and then hoping to just get in and drive it away again.
If you're very, very lucky, you might get away with it but it's not a sound Recovery Strategy.
