Please school me if I'm making an incorrect assumption, but for my case, having the light overhead of MyISAM for read-only OLAP, MyISAM was a huge space saver (as in raw storage space) in terms of indexes with a > 1 billion row table. Is this still the case? I haven't kept up too much with InnoDB's progress as I haven't had the need for ACID compliance and/or OLTP performance.
