Lost connection to MySQL server during query(2013)

Hi all

I am having the same problems

WinXP Pro SP2

After I install 5.0.2 version running as a windows service, when ever I try any graphic clients as soon as I do anything that needs the client to show the tables of a schema the server crashes with the message :

Lost connection to MySQL server during query(2013)


But a SHOW TABLES FROM mysql does work!

If I click on the more Info on this Error I get the following :
Error Signature
szAppName : mysqld-nt.exe szAppVer : 0.0.0.0 szModName : mysqld-nt.exe
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 001346c4

It also produces 2 over 1 meg files (memeory dump etc) that are too big to include here, but if its of use let me know and I'll put themo the web and send you a link


I _need_ to upgrade from 5.0.0 since that has a bug that I need to get away from.


Thankfully the codes seem to run but the graphic clients dont.

Interestingly I just noticed that although MySQL Adminstrator (1.0.18) also crashes like the rest of them, when making a user if it does SOMETIMES after a few restarts of the service etc, properly list the tables in a schema.

Any help would be appreciated!
