Need To Get "Localhost" Back.
I need help to get back the "localhost" as the host name for both mysql servers 5.5 and 5.6! Every time that I try to log on to them from the command line I type "mysql -h localhost -u root and -p" but always get back the error "myhpcomputer is not the localhost" or words to that effect. I specified a long time ago in some deeply buried .dll file the "myhpcomputer" as my localhost but I don't now. Can someone please help me with this?
