Re: Need To Get "Localhost" Back.
Barry I mwent into the my.ini file in mysql 5.5 and saw no sign of any bind-address in it. I set my hostname to "localhost" in it but still got this same old error message. I tried to set the host to localhost on the command line but still got this:
c:\Program Files\MySQL\MySQL Server 5.5\bin>mysql
ERROR 1130 (HY000): Host 'myhpcomputer' is not allowed to connect to this MySQL server
what is wrong now?
