Correct parameters after changing password

Hello everybody,

As I forgot my root password, I changed it as explained there for Windows :
https://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/8.0/en/resetting-permissions.html

It seems I succeeded, as after that, MySqlWorkbench asked me the password, and accepted it (until there MySqlWorkbench worked, but I did not know with what root password).

But now it seems I have got to provide correct parameters in the MySqld shortcut, as the service starts, and then stops.

I saw somewhere advised to empty the data directory, but if I do that, I am afraid it deletes the database, so if the database is deleted I did not need to change its password of course.

Can anyone guide me for this task ?
