under user "root" I have 5 databases. Whenever the server starts all the databases are active thus taking more memory and making the whole web process very slow. In this context I want to do 2 things

a.> Stop/Disconnect/Deactivate all other databases other than the required one.
b.> Increase the performance(in terms of Response time) of the MySQL database.

If possible can any one please suggest me to achieve these what I have to do?(currently using WinXp OS in the server)

and lastly

c.> Is there any debug mode is available in MySQL like trace files of Oracle?
