I am also on a windows 7 system and cant seem to work out where Ive gone wrong.

Like in the above article Ive installed all the mysql gems (downloaded and installed mysql essentials and installed the gems in the bin directory {as explained above} and still my server fails (webrick and mongrel)

Redo the same app in sqlite database instead and everything works like the tutorial im following.

Seems like the instructor was using mysql (he's on a mac OS X)

However my latest tute is using mysql and now im back to square one trying to make mysql work with ROR, so I can keep on learning.

Sorry if its already explained above, is there any step by step solutions for windows 7 OS.
