Thanks for your reply Mark. I've been able to resolve one of the servers, however the other has still got me puzzled.

When I use the agent credentials to manually connect to the Master MySQL server, I can connect to it either from localhost or across a network. I am also able to issue the command 'show master status' without any problems. Starting up using the agent with the credentials connects to the heartbeat agent on MEM, as well as the MySQL database. However, when you go into Settings - Manage Servers, the Master MySQL server is crossed out, and the Agent, Last Agent and Reporting Delay are the only columns that are filled in and updating.

Could this be an issue to do with the Agent itself? I have noticed in my investigation, that in the 'mysql.inventory' table, the Agent records the Mac ID of the network interface as the 'hostid'. In my situation, there are two NICs on the host - one for an internal network, the other for an external network. Is there a way to control which NIC the agent talks to?
