I'm very glad you like Workbench so much. It is always very encouraging to read such positive feedback.
Regarding your problems: I assume you are on Windows, but which WB version do you use? In the current version there are tooltips for both action and message, as well as a panel at the bottom of the output tab, which shows message and action text in a larger area.
For the pretty dolphin animation we got already feature request. This is on our todo lists.
