well I solved it apparently I need to change the delimiter by issuing "delimiter //" at the top then "delimiter ;" at the bottom.
Personal rant - This is bullshit, I have found allot of stupid restrictions/problems when working with mysql, I have no trouble with Microsoft sql server.
