i!!!

I have some doubts about the posibilities of c to connect to a mysql database. Is it possible to program an application in c which can works in linux ? I am interested in that area so if anyone knows something about it plese post it!!!

I have been searching tutorials but i havn't found anything!!! I started programing the application in Visual Studio 2003 but i haven't been able to connecto to a mysql database, if anyone knows where can i find some examples please let the links, thanks!!!!
