jakub you are developing your visual c++ application in debug mode..
mysql connector/c++ has to be used with the same mode as it was compiled in, and that is the release version... so switch to the release version
you can do so by just clicking on the drop down menu up on the toolbar which says debug, select release and redo all the configurations... and it will work just fine then..
