Service isn't starting

Hi

During the Wizard Installation process - the last view where all the operations to be done are listed - the service doesn't want to start, so i have a red cross checked and the installation stops. (using Windows7 - but starts well on a laptop with the same OS).

I don't have any other instance installed and doesn't know if there is any log file that can be helpful to understand what happens.

If I don't install it as service, I am also not provided with the view to change the root password. So by starting mySql after the installation, I don't know what to put when I am prompt to enter the password.

Any advice or entry on the help file to indicate me (what a big pdf!!).
Thanks in advance.
