Re: Installing MySQL Server with port number other than 3306 is failing

Hello
I have the same problem with the 5.7.28. To work it around, I tried the following:
1. Stopped MySQL service.
2. Updated the file my.ini by replacing port 3306 with 8406.
3. Started MySQL service.
The status of the service is "Starting..." forever.
