Hi Chris,
If the button is not appearing under the Data menu of the ribbon, then there should be a problem on how the add-in is being registered.
Have you made sure the add-in is loaded correctly in the COM Add-Ins list?
Was MySQL for Excel installed by a different user than yours?
Does your user have admin privileges in the computer?
You should not have to do anything else after installation for the button to show.
