The InnoDB Cluster will handle bigger transactions, but the main advantages is that it takes the single mysqld server instance into a state of high availability and load-balancing all with more automated setup and maintenance thanks to MySQL Shell and X devapi. So much of what was a manual task before and setting up replication to have failover/DR etc. and swapping servers in and out, is handled in a much simpler, consistent manner.
