Depends entirely on how much storage and bandwidth are meant by "lots".
Essentially for max efficiency you want enough RAM to have most-used tables managed entirely in memory and certainly with no swapping, enough disk space to keep disk usage below 50%, SSD storage if you can afford it or at least fast enough HDs to handle all i/o at max speed, and replication to a remote site that is robust enough to prevent loss of any data whatever due to local hardware failures.
