Bob,

did you try the most common setting:

innodb_forec_recovery=4

? If you set the level to 6, the database will almost certainly appear corrupt, since it skips the redo log application.

Do you have a backup of the database? Have you saved the MySQL binlogs?

What does

uname -a

say about the Linux kernel version?
