Thank you for your help so far,
Here is the results of free -m
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 7680 4358 3322 57 388 2373
-/+ buffers/cache: 1596 6083
Swap: 0 0 0
The data I am importing was originally going into a MYISAM Table but I converted this table to InnoDB as I was under the impression this was a better engine.
With me converting that table should I look to increase the InnoDB buffer?
I am just working out how to use EXPLAIN I will let you know the results.
