Were that the case; I'd have expected the issue to have manifested itself prior to the last few days -- we have had no problems over the last 6 months or so; all the machines are connected to each other in a data-centre via bonded 1Gps systems, and I've never seen any saturation as yet - however; if you can suggest a command line (linux; debian based) tool that would demonstrate clearly that the network be at fault; I'm all ears.
