There is no "test user", there is only the group replication user which I granted the correct permissions (since setting up the cloning manual worked using that same user).
The Shell recommendation is out-of-scope. If magic is done, magic needs to be documented, because I want to be MySQL magician, not hide in a shell.
No, something was/is fishy. Manual says Group Replication plugin would use its user to clone, it didn't. I guess I'll have another try with more nodes.
