Hello thanks for the response,

user with '%': i've already tested with 1 existing user at a time (%, ip, host),
but no luck

--skip-name-resolve: i've tried all combinations (option enabled and 1 user at a time with %, ip, host, and option disabled with 1 user...) but no luck

I can try to upgrade, but I've already uninstalled and reinstalled all from the scratch, cause I am passed from 5.097 to 5.5x, as the 5.097 doesn't have support for the --skip-name-resolve, I don't think that this will solve my problem, but I can try

host cache: already checked, host is not blocked, and tried with --skip-host-cache enabled/disabled

mysql log shows no error, I will try to change log level
