MySQL authentication against active directory

Would like to know whether the MySQL installation on Linux can authenticate against windows active directory?

Tried PAM authentication and it works. Trying to get integrated with active directory with open ldap setup on Linux it fails.

Did any one tried this? If so can you kindly point to any documentation on this?
