mysqld Ver 5.6.42-84.2 for Linux on x86_64 (Percona Server (GPL), Release 84.2, Revision 6b2b987)
I am new to mySQL admin and have currently inherited the dba role for a mySQL based platform. I have a process that needs to disable all logins sans root and backup before it performs the actual work. They way it was rigged does not work reliably and only causes me more pain in the long run and does not actually fulfill the objective. My predecessor changed all passwords and reverts them when complete.
any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated.
I have a deep understanding of code for both plsql and tsql and am a SQL Server admin.
