Trying to configure GUI Tools

I am new to MySQL. I downloaded the 5.1 version and I am trying to use the GUI tools. When configuring MySQL Administrator, I use the Skip option and I see the MySQL Service Running, but I never get the MySQL Administrator Main Window. Am I missing a step? I hope someone can help, please!
