MySQL Administrator - "connection to the scheduling service" failed

Using MySQL Admin on XP/MySQL 4.1, the tool seems to work, connects to the server OK etc, and I can define new backup projects. But when I later try to open existing projects (shown under "Backup Projects" on the bottom left of the Backup section, I see a list of the projects I have created but when I try to open one, I get a popup:

"The connection to the scheduling service cannot be established. Please make sure you have the "TaskPlanner" service activated and running etc. System error number 234"

Some of the projects are not even scheduled. In any case, the Task Scheduler service is alive and well. And the scheduled backup does take place at the specified time.

I cannot even delete a project.

Thanks,
Patrick
