How to restore MySQL old databases?

Hey guys,

I have a server that crashed, I didn't have the opportunity to export my MySQL databases to sql files, I only have the files from a previous backup of the server, so I built a new server and I'm trying to put the folders (database plus .frm files for tables) for the databases in /var/lib/mysql with the same permissions that the default databases came with.

When I login and run a show tables; it shows me the tables that are in the databases, but when I try to run a select, it says table doesn't exist.

What can I do to fix my tables?

Thanks,
