MySQL upgrade form 5.7 to 8.0 on a Atlassian (Jira/Confluence)

Upgrading from 5.7.42 to 8.0.36


Before upgrade I have changed the CHARTSET and COALLATION to Atlassian Databases/Tables/Columns to

utf8mb4 utf8mb4_bin

Done: $ sudo apt-get install mysql-server

No issues registered - exit status 0

Edited file my.cnf - inserted (temporaryly)

default_authentication_plugin=mysql_native_password

Still being hammered with 'tons' of same Waning line

Please what is my path to use "caching_sha2_password instead"
