Yes, but we all want to update.
I also uninstalled the new driver, and installed an older one.

It seems that the old driver is rather slow to connect.
As far as I remember, the new driver was connecting very fast.
But we will have to wait for the bug to be fixed.
MySQL team has labeled it as "Non-Critical".
