Having the same issue on a fresh install using the Installer on a W2k8 R2 server. (BTW, the web installer can't find the connector files online to download them... 404 error...)
The messages seem to indicate that the installer can't find the files at C:\Program Files\MySQL\Connector ODBC...
There are files in the C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\Connector ODBC...
I downloaded the 32-bit and 64-bit Connector install files and ran those separately. The 32-bit install succeeds, while the 64-bit install fails with the same message.
