can't open connection on server : error with key : "innodb_max_purge_lag"

When I tried to connect to a database, I got this message :

The item has already been added. Dictionnary key : "innodb_max_purge_lag" Key added : "innodb_max_purge_lag"

and this just on the : mycon.open

The program was working fine with Mysqldrivercs but since I moved the server to 4.1.8-nt this connector was no longer worker
(other errors appeared when I tried to use the last version they provide).

That´s why I decided to use the Mysql connector instead.

Any idea ?
