I have done the same in downloading 6.3.1 alpha and it gives me an error upon installation as well and rolls back the install with a setup ended prematurely error message. This is really holding back my project development! Ahhh!! Help!

Anyone know how to manually register a dbProvider if VS.NET 2008/2010? I've tried manually adding the provider in the machine.config under the dbproviders section but to no avail.

Oh, Flavio, I tried this but it didn't work for me, maybe it will for you....

Go into your %systemroot%\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.1.4322 folder and rename the Config folder to "Configxxx" then try running the 6.3.1 alpha install again. Reports have come in saying this can fix the issue for some people. After the install runs it's course, don't forget to rename the configxxx back to config.
