Re: illegal mix of collations
I get the same error when trying to save a delete operation back to the database from a dataset. Here - ERROR #HY000: Illegal mix of collations (utf8_general_ci,IMPLICIT) and (latin1_swedish_ci,COERCIBLE) for operation '<=>'
I looked the error up in this site and says to use 'SET NAME utf8' Not sure how to do that. I guessing that 'SET NAME' is a system variable. I really new and am not sure how to change system variables. If anyone has any help, it qould be great.
