Re: Connector/NET 6.8.3 Install rolls back
Hi,
I am trying to debug this, to be able to reproduce please provide more info on the OS version (including OS language & arch (x86/x64)) & VS version used (would be helpful).
Looking at the log, it failed in this custom action: ManagedWebInstall.
this action purpose is to register the different web providers (like profile, session, etc.) at machine.config for thru the command
C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v4.0.30319\installUtil.exe" /LogToConsole=false /LogFile= "C:\Program Files (x86)\MySQL\MySQL Connector Net 6.8.3\Assemblies\v2.0\MySql.Web.dll
This may fail if
- If you don't have admin permissions.
- You don't have either .NET 2.0 or .NET 4.0 installed.
