Hello,

it seems that i got the same problem. I am using Castor JDO, with MySQL V. 4.0.18 , Tomct 4.1.30, ConnectorJ 3.1.7 and i get the exception after one / two days. I have configured a JDBC resource with autoconnect=true - but the exception still occures.

I am interessted how you determined that the host files have been responsible for the problem. Have you got any deeper information about that.

And - nevertheless - i would be pleased if you could explain a little bit more detailed what you have done within the host files.
