The Python people are blaming the MySQL people for this problem. On the
Python newsgroup, there are comments to the effect that it's MySQL's responsibility
to support Python, not the other way round
Meanwhile, there's one guy on SourceForge actually keeping MySQLdb alive, and he's no longer working on Windows.
