I can't patch it for Windows; I don't think it's even possible because Windows Perl modules come as binary packages. Even if you could get a Windows Perl module in source code form, you would run into needing 1) a compiler and 2) all the other libraries DBD-mysql needs to compile (if I remember correctly, it needs something from the DBI source to compile). IMO, you won't be able to use this patch with Windows.
